Specifies a method of measurement for short-term variations in the speed of the sound recording medium, whether tape or disc, generally known as ‘wow’ or ‘flutter’ which occur through variations in the mechanical drive mechanism of the equipment. The characteristics of the required instrumentation are also specified. The Standard is based on IEC 386.
