API Publ 348 – Air Toxics Emission Factors for Combustion Sources Using Petroleum-Based Fuels, Development of Emission Factors Using API/WSPA Approach
The project was performed with the cooperation of the California Air Resources Board (CARB) and Western States Petroleum Association to develop updated air toxic emission factors for combustion sources using petroleum-based fuels. The emission factors developed using the best available source testing information in this project will help EPA to revise AP-42. In addition, the emission factors will be integrated into CARB’s California Air Toxics Factor (CATEF) database. Environmental, health, and safety engineers can use these emission factors to develop more accurate and complete emission inventories without additional source testing, which could help facilities in the permitting process.
